Setting Expectations

While we are working from home it’s so easy to get caught in a trap of literally working 24/7. We need to set reasonable expectations for ourselves as well as those who may be looking for us throughout the day.

Update your OOO message or your email signature to show what hours you are available during the work day. And that obviously if a true emergency situation what number they can reach you on at any time but that otherwise you will respond within the 24 hours or next business day if after your “working hours”. This is a good practice in general for many who work with global companies as the “daily working hours” do not match up due to time differences.
